Sangha Convention Postponed Indefinitely

And the rumour has it that this is because the four Mahanayakas of the Tri Nikaya have been warned that “bad things” will happen in Kandy if they carry on their plan. This however, is just a rumour. Not a news… But it’s very possible. The government has shown us that they’ll do anything to retain their power. If what the Mahanayakas do is bad for them (especially the chief prelate of Malwatu chapter), they will take care of them, just like they took care of Lasantha and 10 other journalists… Something interesting is happening though. The sangha is dividing right from the middle. It was always bound to happen ever since Hela Urumaya came to politics and politicised the Sangha. Maybe it began even earliar, when Soma Thero declared that he would run for parliament… And I just wonder, what the Lord Buddha would’ve said about all this?
